WASTEWATER TREATMENT FORMULA
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FORMULA
Wastewater Treatment Systems regularly receive shock loads containing heavy doses of detergents, sanitizing agents, fats, oil, grease, chemicals and fibrous compounds. An influx of these complex substances can adversely affect the delicate balance of naturally occurring microorganisms in the wastewater treatment system, rendering the system ineffective.
To fully comprehend the benefits provided by augmenting a system with the addition of a diverse array of highly specialized microorganisms one must understand the complicated requirements of these living organisms. They require adequate dissolved oxygen levels, a specific pH range and an adequate supply of nutrients in order to proliferate within the system. The indigenous microbial species found in a typical wastewater system are often exposed to harsh unnatural conditions that fail miserably to meet these requirements. They can easily be sanitized / destroyed by this constant influx of harsh compounds from the collection system. Since microorganisms are the primary decomposers of all organic wastes they are essentially the driving force behind all efficient wastewater treatment facilities. When indigenous microbial populations within the system are non - existent or out of balance the end result is an inefficient system. Wastewater treatment systems devoid of this natural biological process are typically plagued by sludge buildups, tank deposits, fouled drain fields, backups and anaerobic odor problems.
The solution to this problem is to re-inoculate this system with highly specialized beneficial microbial populations such as those found in Organica's Wastewater Treatment Product. Organica's Wastewater Treatment Product is a proprietary blend of naturally occurring microorganisms, enzymes, nutrients and microbial growth stimulants formulated specifically to cleanup and improve efficiencies within wastewater treatment facilities. The synergistic blend of microbial cultures (aerobic & facultative) utilized to formulate the product, have been scientifically identified to cope with the complex compounds and chemicals found in even the harshest wastewater environments! This environmentally responsible alternative to chemical treatments provides specialized microbial species in high concentrations, which in turn quickly break down the organic waste found in typical systems. The beneficial microbial species will accelerate the natural biodegradation process of fats, oils, feces, proteins and starches resulting in the elimination of floating "grease pads" within the system. Moreover Organica's Waste Water Treatment Product contains proprietary microbial species that have an affinity for biodegrading difficult substances such as phenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons and proteinaceous compounds at accelerated rates.
Regular use of Organica's Wastewater Treatment Product will provide the user with a number of quantifiable benefits. The accelerated biodegradation process will decrease clean up time, enhance efficacy of the de-watering process, improve quality of effluent, reduce solids and help eliminate odor problems. You will also see a drastic reduction in BOD and COD levels when used as directed. Those facilities that wish to recycle their bio-solids for commercial fertilizer use will benefit greatly from Organica's Wastewater Product. Regular use of Organica's Wastewater Treatment Product results in a cleaner end product by eliminating fats and hazardous organic compounds from the bio-solid component. In short the formulation is designed to make good systems even more efficient and drastically improve conditions and efficiencies in problematic facilities.
Due to inherent variances within each wastewater treatment facility Organica prefers to prescribe rates and methodology on an individual basis. These recommendations will be based on the characteristics and conditions of each system.
In order to accurately outline each plants requirements Organica requires the following information:
1. A schematic diagram of the plant outlining flow
2. Volume of each tank / lagoon within system
3. Daily flow rate
4. BOD, COD, pH and DO levels throughout system
5. Retention time
6. List of problems currently encountered
* DOUBLE THE INITIAL DOSE RATE WHEN STARTING BOD LEVELS ARE GREATER THAN 500, RETENTION TIME IS LESS THAN 48 HOURS OR WHEN SYSTEM'S WATER TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW50 DEGREES F.
* WHEN IMPLEMENTING THIS BIO - A UGMENTA TION PROGRAM IT IS ESSENTIAL TO PROVIDE THE MICROBIAL SYSTEMS WITH AS MUCH RETENTION TIME WITHIN THE SYSTEM AS POSSIBLE, IN ADDITION ADEQUATE DISSOLVED OXYGEN LEVELS (3 % or greater) WILL EXPEDITE THEIR ESTABLISHMENT AND INCREASE PRODUCT EFFICACY.
* SYSTEMS WITH A RETENTION TIME OF 24 HOURS OR LESS SHOULD UTILIZE THE LIQUID FORMULATION.
* ORGANICA MAY RECOMMEND THE ADDITION OF EACH ITS BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN RELEASE SYSTEM IN ADDITION TO THE WASTEWATER FORMULATION. IT GREATLY INCREASES DISSOLVED OXYGEN LEVELS WITHIN SYSTEM AND DISCOURAGES ANAEROBIC GROWTH.)
